About me

Hi! My name is Dmitry Shyshkin. And my goal is to make it easy for you to learn test automation.

I am a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test with over 10 years of experience automating Web UI, API, and Mobile tests using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Postman, RestAssured, and other test automation tools.

I started my QA career as a manual QA engineer and quickly became interested in automating tests. I learned Selenium and Java, used a few different testing frameworks. For most of the jobs I had, full-time or part-time consulting projects, I was either the only one or a lead test automation guy. Because of this, I had to make all decisions, what tools to use, how to run tests, etcetera. And that’s why I think I have enough knowledge and experience to teach you and help you be successful in automating tests.

Test automation became my passion as soon as I automated my first test. And I have been automating everything, not just tests, since. I automated my job search. I automated flight searches that help me travel cheaper. I love automating and want to share my knowledge with you.

In 2017 I decided to share my Test Automation knowledge and skills in the form of video courses and posted my first Selenium WebDriver tutorial on YouTube. Currently, I have 6 courses with over 18000 students. One of my courses is a BestSeller and the other is HighestRated. My instructor rating is 4.7 out of a possible 5.
